Sue Howells - St Georges Day Exhibition
Sue Howells will be joining us on St Georges Day, Thursday 23rd April 2009 for an exhibition of her new works and to launch 3 exclusive Chester paintings for customers of the Watergate Street Gallery.
This is your opportunity to meet the artist and view over 30 original and very special limited edition prints. All paintings are for sale.

About the artist
Voted as the best female artist in the UK by The Fine Art Trade Guild the work of Sue Howells has become a much sought after commodity.
Chester's Watergate Street Gallery opened its doors in October 1992, as a new art offering to the Chester public. We are now celebrates our 17th year of trade and to welcome in another era, will be hosting an exhibition of Sue Howells art in the fabulous historical cavern within our gallery at 60 Watergate Street, Chester.
Known for her interpretation of landscapes and buildings, she has developed a uniquely bold and vivid style. Her blend of moody atmospheres and delicate abstraction has won her numerous awards and sell out shows across the country.
If you have watched Little Britain, Eastenders, My Family, Vicar of Dibley or have been to see Helen Mirren in The Queen, then there would have been a Sue Howells painting on show.
Her work has been compared to Lowry's, although she says "He was and amazing man in his own right, but I think that my figures are a bit livelier - his are terribly static."
Art on display is all for sale and ranges from £125 to £695. A variety of Sues images are displayed below, there will be additional original watercolours and limited editions to view on the night.
