The Watergate Street Gallery opened in 1992 with a philosophy to bring new, fresh, different, yet affordable art to as many people as possible.

We are completely independent. And only buy what we like and not what we are told to buy.

With over one hundred artists and over one thousand works always on display in our flagship Chester store you are certain to find a picture to suit your taste and your pocket!

We source work from not only local and national artists but throughout the World.

The majority of the works of art on display will not be seen in more than a handful of galleries throughout the UK, if indeed any other.

A treasure trove of 'collectable' artists including: Peter Blake, Jack Vettriano, Sandra Blow, Beryl Cook, Csaba Markus, Robert Heindel, Willi Kissmer and Roy Fairchild Woodard, we even keep a large selection of Victorian watercolours buried away!

Original paintings, etchings, screenprints, signed limited editions as well as ceramic and bronze. Whatever your taste, you will find it here!

We add up to fifty new works every week and a visit to Chester and our gallery will not disappoint.
